Participant safety & program safeguarding
Triage process
Every contact starts with a structured conversation to understand the person's situation and any immediate risk.
Referral escalation pathway
Where higher-level support is required, Pathways connects participants to qualified external providers.
Crisis response protocol
If immediate risk is identified, contact is escalated to emergency services (000) or crisis lines without delay.
Mentor boundaries
Mentors operate within defined scope. They do not provide clinical, medical, legal or psychiatric services.
Incident reporting
All incidents are recorded and reviewed in line with Pathways' safeguarding and continuous-improvement procedures.
Working With Children / Blue Card
Where roles involve contact with children or vulnerable persons, relevant checks and clearances are required.
